Frequently Asked Questions

Clinical Health Psychologist

Where is your office located?

My office is located on the corner of Bush and Octavia in San Francisco CA.

How long does each therapy session take?

Each session lasts 50 minutes. Typically we will discuss opportunities to complete homework outside of our sessions to help enhance the therapeutic process.

What should I expect to happen on my first appointment?

Our first session will be used to discuss your goals for therapy and the expectations for treatment.  I will ask a series of questions to assist me in providing you with a treatment plan.  This treatment plan will map the best way to reach your goals.

How can I request an appointment?

You can call me at 415-237-7744 or use our online booking feature to request an appointment.

What is the cost for each session?

Rates for therapy are $250 - $300 for a 50-minute session. You may be able to get partial reimbursement through your insurance company.

Do you accept insurance?

I currently accept Lyra Health for direct insurance payments. You may also be able to be reimbursed by your PPO insurance plan.  As an out-of-network provider, you can typically be reimbursed between 20-80% of the cost for each session. Please contact your insurance plan to find the exact reimbursement rate.

What types of payments do you accept?

Payments can be made by cash or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express).

How can I use my PPO insurance?

I would suggest calling your PPO insurance company and ask about their policy on out-of-network behavioral health care.  Be sure to specifically ask for the amount of any deductibles, what percentage of services they will reimburse and if there are limits on the number of visits per calendar year. Should you choose to come here for treatment, you will be required to pay for your session in full at the time of service. I will provide you with a monthly statement (“superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
